Open Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill at
Charlotte Douglas International Airport this Summer
Menu to feature Baja-inspired eats, Hagar’s own Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum and
Santo Tequila, and the beachy rock & roll energy of the Red Rocker himself

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (June 12, 2025) – Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar today announced his newest Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill restaurant, opening this summer in Charlotte, North Carolina, at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT).
The fifth airport location in the Hagar and HMSHost partnership, the new full-service restaurant opens in Concourse D, giving travelers a place to kick back and soak in the Baja beach vibes, all while surrounded by music memorabilia from one of rock’s biggest icons.
“Bringing Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill to Charlotte is all about sharing good times, great food and a rockin’ playlist with travelers,” said Hagar. “I’m especially proud that through the Hagar Family Foundation, we will be giving back to the Charlotte community, like we do at all of our locations.”
Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill at CLT, which spans 2,300 square feet and seats 113 guests, features vibrant colors, an electric atmosphere, and photos and mementos from Hagar’s illustrious career. The extensive menu offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including ‘Start Me Up’ appetizers, like baja quesadillas and beach nachos; Sam Wiches,’ like tacos, burgers, and barbeque brisket; and a variety of delicious entrées. The restaurant also features a full bar that serves beer, wine, signature cocktails, and spirits, including Hagar’s own award-winning premium Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum and Santo Tequila, along with his new beer, Red Rocker Lager. Breakfast will be available daily and offer several selections, including Sammy’s breakfast burrito and French toast.

As always, Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill is more than a restaurant—it’s a purpose-driven passion project. Through the Hagar Family Foundation, founded by Sammy and his wife, Kari Hagar, he is donating his personal net proceeds from the Charlotte location to benefit Levine Children’s Hospital and Hope Street Food Pantry, reinforcing his unwavering dedication to giving back. Since its founding in 2008, the Hagar Family Foundation has contributed over $4 million to a diverse range of charitable causes, supporting communities nationwide.
The restaurant joins other Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill locations, which include Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE), Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL), Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) and Kahului Airport (OGG).
Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill will be open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, serving breakfast until 9:30 a.m.
